Fusing the medium and the message, these films push the boundaries of the four walls of the frame. Fabric, negative space, cut outs, and mixed media is the canvas upon which characters are projected through line drawing, ink and watercolour. Oscillating between autobiography and autofiction, we see women navigating power, surveillance and control. Our heroines can be isolated, but they remind us that we’re never alone on the wide horizon of counter-patriarchal artistic activity.
